Vol. 19 No. 3: Fall 2022

Vol. 19, no. 3 (Fall 2022) features the Forum “Oral History Informing World History,” which demonstrates how oral testimony can connect local lives and memories to global processes. Contributions use oral-history methods to teach the Cold War, transnational adoption, colonial youth movements, Iraqi Jewish identity, decolonization and development in Kenya, and applied oral-history practice, emphasizing students’ role in producing as well as interpreting historical knowledge. The issue also includes articles on Indian military healthcare during World War I and periodization through an Oaxacan church, along with a Dialogues in World History exchange on David Graeber and David Wengrow’s The Dawn of Everything.
