Abstract

Although dedicated programs exist to serve first-generation students, there is need for more evidence-based analyses of how campus environments, such as classrooms, shape first-generation college students’ well-being and success. This session presents the results of a three-year research project that analyzed differential effects of programs, services, and classroom practices on first generation students’ development of well-being and civic engagement.
