This study explores the social experiences of college students with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) enrolled in an Inclusive Postsecondary Education (IPSE) program. Using semi-structured interviews and visualization techniques, nine students shared their perspectives on the quality and types of relationships they form. Findings show strong, familial bonds within the program and more limited, yet meaningful, connections outside—typically through clubs and faith-based groups. Some students spoke about the complexities of pursuing romantic relationships and maintaining friendships beyond the program. The study calls attention to the need for more inclusive social opportunities and peer engagement across the broader campus community.
