Vol. 18 No. 1: Winter 2021
Vol. 18, no. 1 (Winter 2021) centers on the Forum “Updating the Role of Latin America and World History,” which argues for integrating Latin America more fully into global narratives of empire, migration, Indigenous history, culture, and exchange. Its contributors address teaching Latin America in global context, Brazil’s place in Atlantic and world history, Comcáac borderlands in Sonora, Jamaican food and cultural identity, and digital resources for instructors. Two additional articles expand the issue’s pedagogical and interpretive concerns by examining the absence of Africans in history textbooks and using the life of Jan Kozlowski to illuminate the Russian Revolution.
