Now Available: Spring 2025 (22.1) Issue of World History Connected

This issue features the timely forum “The Vietnam War, Then and Now,” guest edited by Marc Jason Gilbert and Craig Lockard, marking the 50th anniversary of the end of American involvement in Vietnam. Contributors to this forum decouple the Vietnam War from Americentric narratives, foregrounding regional agency and alternative interpretations. The featured articles reframe the war within the broader history of Southeast Asian decolonization, explore the role of feminism in anti-imperialist and peace movements, include two perspectives on journalism during the war, and examine how the conflict is taught in Vietnam today.
