Abstract

After analyzing more than 50 empirical studies, the Department of Education recently
released a report that demonstrates that online instruction has definite advantages over
face-to-face instruction when it comes to teaching and learning. Dr. Bakia will describe
her role in conducting this research and the implications of it for university faculty.
