Abstract

In recent years I have outsourced a number of projects in order to develop creative multimedia projects. The four examples I discuss include: creation of several videos, development of a sophisticated web 2.0 web site, and the creation of an interactive video prsentation. Two of the four projects are currently used in teaching, one is being used as a departmental recruiting video, and one is for the purpose of better educating people about green energy jobs. The four projects will be briefly presented and described, and the mechanics, and costs of creating material in this way (often involving developers abroad) will be discussed, along with the advantages and disadvantages of relying on this method.
