Abstract

Student engagement in college impacts their learning and development. Current

research advocates a broad-based approach to promoting student engagement

through high-impact practices on the part of faculty, students, and institutional

environment. During this session, presenters will share specific research-based

best practices that faculty can adopt to promote student engagement and

introduce an empirical data source, including highlights from reports, available

to the Mason community based on the National Survey of Student Engagement

to inform faculty and staff on Masonââ¬â¢s strengths and challenges in student

engagement, growth, and satisfaction within the context of a national landscape.
