Abstract

BRIEF SESSION DESCRIPTION:

Curriculum Impact grants are a major initiative from the Office of the Provost rewarding the creation or redesign of curriculum initiatives with a multidisciplinary lens and involve high impact, or Mason Impact, courses. In this workshop, the Office of Undergraduate Education and current recipients of curriculum impact grants will discuss the challenges of creating multidisciplinary courses within the infrastructure of Mason, best practices for scaffolding learning to create successful high impact assignments, and the support needed for these programs to be sustainable. àParticipants will learn about the upcoming grant cycle and requirements and have the opportunity to ask questions/get tips from current grant awardees.
