Abstract

The use of online sharing tools such as Box or Dropbox has been developing in education as well as in other contexts. This poster presentation showcases the use of Dropbox as an electronic portfolio that affords creating individual folders, sharing them with faculty or with peers. The presentation focuses on the implementation process of Dropbox, different uses of this tool, challenges faced by faculty and students, advantages of using this tool, as well as studentsââ¬â¢ reflections on the use of this tool in an educational context. The presenters will also describe their experiences using this tool as opposed to using traditional portfolios and Blackboard in ESL courses. Faculty across the disciplines who attend this presentation will learn about this alternative way of archiving studentsââ¬â¢ work digitally, giving them feedback on their work, and helping them develop new skills as learners.
